Every session is built around the player in front of me. Whether that is your child finding their feet in the
game, or a senior player developing a specific part of their game, every session is personal.
Based at False Bay Rugby Club, Constantia, and available across the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Every young player I work with brings something different to the field. Their own strengths, their own areas to develop, and their own reasons for being there. Some are preparing for trials. Some want to sharpen a specific skill, their tackling, their passing, or how they read the game. Others just need someone in their corner who genuinely believes in what they are capable of.
That is exactly what I am here for. I give your child the individual attention that team practice simply cannot provide, and I build every session around who they are and where they want to go.
When a young player feels confident in their ability, that confidence shows up every time they step onto the field.

Every session I run is built entirely around your child's development.

Technical growth and genuine self-belief, together.

I help young players think, read the game and back themselves.

Age 6 through to varsity level. Coaching that meets every player where they are.
Rugby has given me so much. Discipline, confidence, friendships, and a sense of what I am capable of. IBIC Rugby exists because I want to give young players in the Southern Suburbs that same experience, from the very beginning.
The name says it all. IBIC stands for I Believe I Can. It is a motto I carry from my own rugby journey and one I want every young player I coach to take with them, on the field and into every other part of their life. Whether it is working through a tough moment in a match, pushing through schoolwork, or facing something difficult in everyday life, I Believe I Can is the mindset that makes the difference.
I identified the need for individual coaching through my own experience around the game. Team coaches work incredibly hard, but through no fault of their own, they simply do not have the time to attend personally to the skills development of every player in their squad. That gap matters for development and for player safety. That is when IBIC was born.
At IBIC Rugby your child gets sessions built entirely around them. Their strengths, their development areas, their confidence. I have been coaching since 2012 and every year reinforces the same thing: a young player who feels properly coached grows faster, plays safer, and loves the game more.
My sessions are based at False Bay Rugby Club in Constantia, and I am available to coach anywhere across the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. If travelling to Constantia does not suit your family, just get in touch and we will find a solution that works for you.

Every format I offer is built around the same principle. Close attention, real coaching, and sessions that are shaped around where your child is right now, not where the average player their age is assumed to be.
This is dedicated time with me, focused entirely on your child. We work through exactly what they need, at the pace that suits them. It is the most direct way I know to build real skill and real confidence in a young player.
Your child trains alongside a sibling or a friend. They still get close, personal coaching from me, with the added energy and healthy competition that comes from working with someone they know.
A group of three young players developing together. The focus stays high and the sessions stay personal, with the natural teamwork and motivation that comes from sharing the experience with friends.
A structured, high-energy session for a group of young players. I focus on core skills, team awareness, and building a genuine love for the game in an environment that is fun and well-organised.
Whether your child is just starting out or you are a senior player wanting to sharpen your game, I build every session around where you are right now and where you want to go.

The foundation years. Sessions focus on the five core skills every young player needs before they reach high school. Fun, structured and age-appropriate in every session..
Focus areas: Catching · Passing · Safe contact · Game reading

The development years. Sessions at this level focus on position-specific skills, physicality, game intelligence and the mental side of performance. Ideal for players preparing for first team selection, provincial trials, or wanting to compete at a higher level.
